Factors to Consider While Choosing Best Engineering College in India

Sometimes, it is not easy to decide the ideal college when you have a lot of options to go for. Then the question arises how to decide the best college when engineering colleges are available in thousands of numbers in the country. In this guide, we are going to discuss some of the main facilities you should consider while choosing the best college before taking admission.

Infrastructure – It is one most basic and important factor to consider when it comes to select a college. Don’t confuse beautiful building and huge area of land with infrastructure. A good infrastructure can only be considered with intake capacity of an engineering college in India, such as workshop, classroom, laboratories, computer labs, and various facilities. You need all the modern and high-end facilities during your studies of four years. So, consider infrastructure first before selecting a college.

Faculty – After infrastructure, another important factor to consider is faculty. Only faculties can make a sufficient infrastructure useful to the students. Make sure the faculty members of the college include reader, professors, visiting faculty, along with vast teaching experience and great teacher-student ratio.

Placements – It is another important and basic factor when it comes to choose from top 10 universities in India. It would be wrong to state that it is only criteria when it comes to select a college. In a college, placement varies upon several factors, such as faculty, infrastructure, college rank, facilities offered to students from the college, past students’ performance in a company, and individual personality and talent of the students along with several factors. Company wise and branch wise, always consider the college’s last placement record. When it comes to decide a college, make sure to consider all the above things.

Facilities – You can get secondary assistances during the period in your college campus. Hence, it is another basic factor, which includes connectivity, internet, library, seminar halls, hostels, student clubs, dispensary etc.

Extracurricular Activities – You should also take this factor into consideration because the phrase “no play and all work make jack a dull guy” is true to this respect.  You don’t just have to study but also to live in a competitive situation around you and you have to be all-rounder and develop your personality for doing that.  With the help of extracurricular activities like students club, sports function, annual function, workshops, seminars, social activities, industrial training, NSS and NCC, you will be able to be more active.

Location – Though this factor is not so important and mostly ignored by students and parents, it is still useful if your college or institute is located around any IT or industrial hub. You may get placement or industrial training in future. When it comes to placement, you must also consider this factor.
